Ofsted and Parent View

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They report directly to Parliament and are independent and impartial. They inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection was held on the 18th and 19th May 2022, and we are extremely proud to announce that the school continues to be Good. We are really pleased that the report highlights many of the features our parents, teachers and pupils are rightly proud of.

  • teachers are specialists in their subject and have strong subject knowledge
  • Leaders also plan opportunities for pupils to revisit subject content so they can become fluent in it.
  • Checks on pupils’ learning, including in lessons, are typically regular and helpful.
  • teachers use these checks well to find out about any gaps or misconceptions
  • Pupils have positive attitudes to their learning
  • They behave well in lessons and learning is rarely disrupted
  • Leaders provide well for pupils’ wider personal development, including through their ‘Smart Futures’ programme

Parent View

Parent View gives you the chance to tell us what you think about the school. Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. Ofsted use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when.

By sharing your views, you’ll be helping your child’s school to improve. You will also be able to see what other parents have said about your child's school. All the information you give is anonymous.

We ask all parents to complete Parent View questionnaire each year and would encourage you to complete it if you have not already done so. Please click on the link below to be redirected to the external link.
