Sending in your messages | There are a number of different groups that you can share a message with, they are detail below. |
As the frosty mornings and shorter days take hold, we thought it would be the perfect time to spread a little winter cheer and bust those blues! We know that the power of community can uplift spirits, so we're reaching out to ask for your help in sharing some positivity with the wider alumni, teacher, and student community.
Here are a few ways you can contribute:
1. Write a message to a former teacher: Take a moment to send a message to one of your former teachers. Whether it's a simple "thank you" or a reflection on how they impacted your life, we will be happy to share it with them.
2. Share a funny anecdote from your school days: Got a funny story or memorable moment from your time at school? Share it with us, and we’ll pass it along to the rest of our alumni to bring a smile to their faces.
3. Write an inspiring or motivating message for Year 11 students: As our current Year 11 students prepare for their GCSE examinations, your wisdom and encouragement can make a world of difference. Whether it’s a revision tip, a motivational message, or a personal experience of overcoming challenges during exams, we’d love to pass your words of encouragement on to them.

We are excited to announce that the Maths Department will be hosting the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge on Wednesday, 29th January, from 9:00am to 11:00am. This event will provide selected students from Years 9-11 with the opportunity to tackle a variety of engaging and challenging mathematical problems.
As always, we strive to inspire and motivate our students, and we would greatly appreciate any support or input from our alumni. Specifically, we are looking for alumni who:
- Work in a sector where advanced mathematics is a key component
- Studied, or are currently studying, mathematics or a subject that heavily relies on mathematical principles
If you would be willing to contribute in any of the following ways, we would love to hear from you:
- Attend the event and present a short speech about your career and the role of maths in your work
- Attend the event and present a maths challenge related to your career
- Record a short message for students, sharing your maths journey and career path
Your involvement would make a significant impact on our students, helping them to see the real-world applications of mathematics and inspiring them to continue their mathematical studies.

The Community Iftar is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and mark the breaking of the fast during the month of Ramadan.
During the Iftar, guests will have the chance to pray and break fast with other members of our community in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
