Elsadiq awarded 'everyday hero' by his school

A Cricklewood teenager who is a role model to his fellow students and an ambassador for his school is in a competition that hails the achievements of young Londoners.

Elsadiq Ahmed-Salim has been elected headboy a year early, launched a football league at his school, performs and organises school gigs, is an ambassador for the CitySafe campaign, and has taken part in the National Citizen Service.

Fellow students are so proud of Elsadiq, he was bestowed 'everyday hero' status at his school.

Now he has been nominated for the John Lewis Young People of the Year awards in London or the ‘YOPEYs’.

The YOPEYs are ‘Revealing, Recognising & Rewarding’ young unsung heroes across London and there is £2,000 in prize money for young winners to share with good causes.
